Here is a date for your diaries if you are interested in a trip to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in September 2024 (7 day trip). We are running a trip to Jeddah which has fantastic diving. All the information you require for the trip is below to include accommodation and diving. The group usually go to Egypt and this time we want to experience the east of the Red Sea. Saudi Arabia has an increasing reputation for good diving in Jeddah which has only recently opened up for tourism.

The diving in Jeddah is excellent and is based in the southern part of the Red Sea. The Red Sea has some great diving.
The Red Sea has a variety of aquatic life with large pelagics as well.

The Accommodation Available will be based at Jeddah. The accommodation is a 4 star resort which has received very good reviews and is close to the dive centre. Everything will be very close and relaxing.
The price of the accommodation for 7 nights will be in the region of £300.00 with full board.
All the above prices are based on two people sharing a room. Single rooms will be more expensive if required and I can confirm the price if this is a preferred option for anyone.
Diving
The diving will be very good and we have had some good feedback from Jeddah. It will be a good time of the year to visit Jeddah.

The diving costs will be as follows:
5 days diving which includes (2 dives, tanks, weights, fuel surcharge) Additional dives will be available each day but will be charged extra.
Price of the diving will be in the region of £250.00 for 5 days diving. All divers will be booking 5 days diving so we can stay together as a group.
If you were interested in doing the PADI Advanced then this is an option but please check with me first.
Full equipment hire with computer is in the region of £25.00 per day.

Flights
The best flights currently available are available in the region of £500.00 but could be cheaper by the time we get into 2024 and the industry has had more time to recover. We will need to check out flight times and airlines closer to the time.

We have an amazing trip to Raja Ampat set for November 2024. This trip which is a bucket list trip for many will include at least 7 days/8 nights at a luxury resort with access to the best dives in the region which will be stunning. We also have planned sightseeing options after the diving standard package but divers will have the option to either stay diving at the resort longer or mix more diving with some of the sightseeing options. Either way we will be able to be flexible to accommodate various options.

We also have an opportunity to complete an orangutan experience in the Borneo forests which will also be amazing. We already have great interest in the trip and we will be booking flights in the next few days. Details

Raja Ampat is a fantastic diving location and is surely on every keen divers bucket list. This dive location has it all from extraordinary coral, some wonderful marine life to some incredible macro life. Diving in this location is absolutely fantastic and arguably the very best you will find anywhere. There are more recorded species here than anywhere on the planet and confirmed by Expert conservationists. This is the epicentre of marine biodiversity. We will have 8 nights and 7 days at a luxury dive resort in Raja Ampat with access to the best dive sites in the area. The trip will be 17 days in total although the number of days on the trip can be flexible. We will also be including the best sightseeing on Java Island to include Yogyakarta, Bromo National Park and Tanjung Puting National Park (Orangutan Safari).

We will depart London on Monday 11 November 2024. We will fly from a London Airport to Jakarta the capital of Indonesia. We will then transfer from Jakarta to Sorong which is the closest airport to Raja Ampat. From the port of Sorong we will need to catch a boat transfer to the amazing islands of Raja Ampat where we will arrive at our luxury dive resort. We will then have the following options with respect to diving:

Thu 14 Nov 2024 – Day 2 – Diving (2 dives)

Sun 17 Nov 2024 – Day 5 – Diving (2 dives)

Mon 18 Nov 2024 – Day 6 – Diving (2 dives)

Tue 19 Nov 2024 – Day 7 – Diving (2 dives)

Wed 20 Nov 2024 – Check out of Resort Fly to Yogykarta.

The basic package above includes 14 dives at Raja Ampat.

The above basic package includes any equipment rental, accommodation and breakfast every morning. The cost of the above package will be in the region of £1,825.00. The trip is totally flexible and you may want to add additional days at Raja Ampat rather than returning to Jakarta for some sightseeing. If so you will have the additional options:

All the below are based on 2 people sharing but many of the group are likely to extend the package so paring people up should not be a problem.

Additional non diving day – £110.00 per diver.

Additional 2 dive day – £200.00 per diver

Additional 4 dive day – £300.00 per diver.

You also have the option of upgrading a 2 dive day to a 4 dive day for an additional £100.00 per diver.

Depending on whether you extend the dive package will depend on how many days you have after to spend in Jakarta before flying home to London. If you join up with the basic package you will then have the option of spending up to 7 days on Java Island sightseeing to include Yogyakarta, Bromo National Park and Tanjung Puting National Park (Orangutan Safari).

Accommodation in Jakarta after the dive package will be in the region of £100.00 each. Accommodation in Yogykarta will be in the region of £60.00 each per night and Surabaya will be £50.00.

As a result the estimated overall package cost is likely to be in the region of £TBC without flights.

Flights

The flights are likely to be in the region of £490.00 for London to Jakarta (Return) and £160.00 Jakarta to Sorong (Return).

Considering the fact that Raja Ampat is a bucket list trip and is a very expensive destination we have been able to keep prices reasonable. It is more expensive than normal trips but Raja Ampat is one of the best dive locations in the world and it is normal for dive packages in this region to be in excess of £4,000.00.
