We are running a trip to Bali & Komodo in Indonesia in August 2021 from Wed 11 Aug 21 to Thu 26 Aug 21. These dates are a little flexible for both arrival and departure and divers are welcome to stay longer or arrive earlier like on previous trips.
The flights will be in the region of £600.00 (Thai Airways or Qatar) As travel starts to return to normal the flight prices will become available as more flights are introduced on routes.
Bali & Komodo has some amazing diving to include the areas of Komodo National Park, Tulamben/Amed and Nusa Penida/Lembongan which includes the famous Manta Point. We will also include an experience with the Komodo Dragon at the National Park. We will also include the option of sightseeing in Bali as well to experience the temples.
We will spend the first 6 days in Komodo upon arrival in Bali where we will dive in the National Park and undertake the best dives in the area. We will then transfer to Bali. Upon arrival in Bali we will transfer to Nusa Penida which has some amazing diving. From Nusa Penida we will also have access to dive sites in Candidasa/Padang Bay. Once we have completed the diving here our final location will be Tulumben and Amed. Day trips will be available in all locations.
We will also be including the USAT Liberty Wreck which will have the option of a night dive on the wreck as well. We will also be in season for the famous Mola Mola which is a must see in Bali and are based at Nusa Penida.
Diving
The diving will be shore diving on day boats. We will be travelling to the main dive locations to avoid long distance daily dive transfers. This will also allow the group to experience difference areas and towns within Bali.
The daily dive trips include up to 3 dives, travel and lunch. All diving will be guided. The dive trips vary in price depending on location but they are up to £150.00 per day trip. The day trips will be cheaper at non Nusa Penida dive locations. Kit hire if required will be on top and will be in the region of $20 USD. Local diving is also available at some of the locations. The minimal dive option which is recommended is the following:
3 days diving in Komodo Island
2 days diving in Nusa Penida.
2 Days diving in Tulamben/Amed
Divers who would like to complete additional diving will of course have the option as we will be staying more than 1 day in all locations as we travel around the island. Divers will be able to get as much diving as they want and could easily reach 15+ if so desired. We will also get to experience different parts of Bali/Komodo. For the minimum option we are looking at around £425.00. which will provide in the region of 10 dives and include travel and lunch.
Night dives will also be available at the various locations to include an amazing night dive on the USAT Liberty.
The accommodation will be shared accommodation although single will be available with a single supplement. We will be staying on Nusa Penida and in Tulamben. We will be staying at a resort. It is right on the sea front and is a fantastic location with modern luxury rooms.
All accommodation is already arranged due to ensuring both sufficient standard for the group, to keep the group together to help manage the diving and as recommended by the dive centre based on our requirements. All accommodation will be at least 4 star.
The accommodation will be in the region of £40.00 per night to enable you to get a rough idea of overall budget.
Bali has some fantastic sightseeing as well to include some amazing temples. This will be a fantastic trip for all levels of diver as the trip has the option of deep wreck and wall dives for the experience divers while options are available for the newer diver. All diving will suit the required experience.
